MicroMBA for Girls

A 12-week business education program designed to produce the next generation of businesswomen as early as high school.

Grounded in six doctoral research findings on outcomes associated with the lived experiences of self-employed Black women business owners, the Micro MBA for Girls, by Dr. Kimberly Fomby Jefferson, delivers business education, real-world tools, and hands-on experience needed before college, before the workforce, and before the odds have a chance to stack against them.

Program Details

  • The Micro MBA for Girls is a 12-week program contracted directly with school districts and community organizations.

  • Cohorts are capped at 15 students to ensure a focused, high-quality experience.

  • Up to 8 schools per district partnership are accepted each semester.

  • The Sucré Consortium handles all curriculum development, instruction, and program delivery. Districts and partner organizations provide access and space.

  • Instructors are based in the metro area they serve, ensuring local presence and community familiarity.

  • The Micro MBA for Girls is currently offered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and New Orleans, with plans to expand to additional metro areas.
